Artist Frank Laufer will have his work on display at Wolfling Coffee beginning September 9th, and will be at Wolfling to talk about his work on September 13. If you’ve never experienced his colorful palette and expressive brushwork first hand, you’re in for a treat! Stop in and say hello on Sunday September 13 from 11am-1pm.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I was born and raised in Walla Walla, then moved to SF Bay Area for 30 years. About 6 years ago I moved back. I think nature more fully supports us in our birthplace. The most important thing to state about my work is that it’s almost entirely concerned with the act and process of painting itself. Paint gives expression to intuitive feelings of silence, form, structure, and organizing power. All else including results, evolving subject matter, mood, and so forth follow this.
